Patrick Speer has reported that a local resident (Nevada City) has a huge amount of walnut available and has proposed selling it at perhaps $1 per pound.  We may be able to negotiate an even better price if we buy a bunch at once.  So, if you're interested in getting some walnut (trunk pieces, branch pieces, burls), stay tuned.  We need someone with a truck and a chainsaw to take the lead.  Anyone?  Just contact me, ridge.mcghee@gmail.com, with your contact information and I'll post it here.
